Piet Mondrian – Broadway Boogie Woogie 1942-1943

The colour scheme chosen for this image is the primary colours, the red, yellow and blue have all been made to look very bright and catch your attention. Each colour makes the others stand out and they each work together to portray the idea of movement within the image. Each colour has been broken up into small segments, all creating very hectic horizontal and vertical lines when put next to each other. The image seems very busy and yet very modern for the time it was created.
